An example of PTC road-based utility equipment in the late 1950s. The wrecker is preparing to haul away a disabled ACF-31S bus at Olive and Lincoln in Media PA, two blocks east of the present SEPTA R3 Media Station.
The bus was on Route 77, which replaced a PRT Birney-operated car line of the same number in April 1936. The Folsom Division trolley line, however, turned east behind where the bus is stuck to take a back road to cross under the PRR on South Park Ave.
